Beloved melodies brought back to life.
When my children began asking for "nicer music" in the car and frequently expressed their disappointment with the music and song choices at recent weddings, I realized that my dreams might resonate with a receptive audience—even among younger listeners seeking excitement but yearning for quality Jewish music.
In recent years, the thought of reviving the authentic Jewish identity in our music—with its depth, beauty, and uplifting spirit of kedusha embedded in songs of praise to Hashem—has often occupied my mind.
Unfortunately, many tunes with this essence were accompanied by outdated arrangements that lacked the musical quality needed to spark renewed interest. They offered little enjoyment and even less spiritual elevation. As my relationship with Mona Rosenblum, the superstar of Jewish music arrangements and a world-renowned composer, grew deeper, we often discussed this dream and the goal of bringing it to fruition.
One day, the RBS"O sent us a treasure. Mona discovered a collection of songs recorded years ago in a basement with the late R' Bentzion Schenker A"H. And as they say, the rest is history… Mona’s cutting-edge, world-class musical arrangements, combined with R' Bentzion’s pure, deeply rooted Jewish compositions, are now being presented by the finest singers and choirs in the Jewish music world.
